Lynx Employment Services is recruiting an experienced Corporate Finance Manager for a six-month interim assignment with a local authority in Rugby.

This is a senior, hands-on technical accounting role and would suit a fully qualified accountant with recent experience working within a District or Borough Council.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the full range of corporate finance responsibilities and is comfortable getting involved directly in the technical work rather than solely managing a team.

## The Role

You will take responsibility for key areas of corporate finance, including:

Production of the Statement of Accounts

Supporting and managing the external audit process

VAT

CIS returns

Fixed Asset Register

Accounts Payable

Treasury Management and banking

Cash-flow management

Delta returns

Whole of Government Accounts (WGA)

Wider corporate finance requirements as required

## Essential Requirements
To be considered, you must:

Be a fully qualified accountant
Have recent District or Borough Council experience
Have strong hands-on technical accounting experience within local government
Have experience of preparing or taking significant responsibility for the Statement of Accounts
Be comfortable dealing with external audit and year-end requirements
Be able to work independently and take ownership of a broad corporate finance workload
Be able to attend the Rugby office as required

## Hybrid Working

For the first couple of weeks, the successful candidate is expected to be onsite in Rugby for approximately four days per week to understand the organisation, systems and key stakeholders.
Following this initial period, the requirement is expected to reduce to approximately 2–3 days per week onsite, depending on business needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced local government accountant looking for a substantial interim assignment through to March 2027.
