Cook

Salary: £12.73 (time and a quarter for overtime; double for bank holidays)

Hours: Contracted 35 hrs per week; 8am - 5pm (3 days on - 3 days off)

We are seeking a Cook to join our team in preparing delicious meals for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following recipes accurately.
Ensure food preparation meets high-quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace.
Monitor and manage food stock levels.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver excellent dining experiences.
Understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements such as HACCP, Health and Safety, COSHH, Food Safety etc. to ensure a safe environment within the home.
Ensure sufficient food stocks are ordered and received from approved suppliers within agreed timescales to ensure sufficient food stock at all times.
Liaise with care team regarding residents’ nutritional plans and dietary requirements.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Cook or similar role in a care home setting.
Knowledge of culinary techniques and practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
