Description:

Our client an independent, family owned, fuel distribution Company with a network of company owned and independent owned service stations providing fuel and services to motorists, are currently seeking experienced Cook to join their team within their recently acquired site in Dornoch.

The ideal candidate will have an ability to multi task, great work ethic, ability to prioritise tasks and be experienced in food preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

* To prepare & cook items from both a standard and children's menu

* Ensuring the quality of dishes are of a high standard on all occasions

* Maintaining good stock control and storage of food, equipment and cleaning items

* Working to strict Food Safety standards as well as Health & Hygiene standard

* Work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff

Key Skills & Attributes:

* Experienced cook either domestic or commercial

* Have the ability to work well within a team as well as on their on initiative

* Be confident in their knowledge of the Food Standards

* Have a passion for utilising local fresh ingredients and making dishes from scratch

* Be experienced of working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen where food is made to order

* Have an eye for presentation and take pride in their food

* Be able to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings and weekends

* Food safety cert required

* Certification in culinary arts or relevant field is a plus although non essential

Working a minimum 30-40 hours per week with overtime being paid after 45 hours per week, opening times are Tuesday to Saturday (Apply online only) & Sunday 1 last orders 1830 daily)
