Description:

Our client is a in house café, that is open to the internal workers, as well as members of the public in Marchington. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Café Cook to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity with an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity with an immediate start. Initially offered as maternity cover, the role has the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

Role Overview:
As a key part of the café team, you’ll be responsible for preparing a simple, high-quality menu including breakfasts, toasties, sandwiches, and pastries. You’ll support the smooth running of the kitchen and help deliver a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook basic menu items to order
• Stock intake and ordering of goods and materials
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards
• Work efficiently to meet service times
• Support other team members as needed
• Communicate clearly and positively with the front-of-house team

Skills and Experience:
• Previous kitchen or café experience essential
• Basic food prep skills and an interest in food
• Punctual, trustworthy, and hardworking
• Able to follow food safety and hygiene procedures
• Friendly team player with a can-do attitude
