Description:

My client, based in Hereford, is a growing and established law firm with a strong focus on delivering high-quality legal services and excellent client care. They are looking to appoint an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated candidate to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment, managing a varied caseload and supporting the wider Conveyancing Department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases, transfers and remortgages across freehold and leasehold properties.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, solicitors, agents and other key stakeholders, providing clear and professional communication throughout transactions.

• Progress files proactively and efficiently, ensuring internal processes, compliance requirements and client records are maintained to a high standard.

• Prepare and review contract packages, raise enquiries, submit searches, and draft title, mortgage and search reports.

• Act for mortgage lenders and assist with exchanges of contracts and agreeing transfer deeds.

• Work collaboratively with the wider Conveyancing team while managing your own workload and meeting deadlines.

• Maintain accurate case management records and ensure matters progress smoothly through to completion.

Qualifications & Experience:

• CILEX / CLC

• Current Practising Certificate.

• Law Degree.

• Relevant training and qualifications in conveyancing.

• Minimum of 1 year's relevant experience.

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced office environment.

Skills & Personal Qualities:

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with clients, solicitors, agents and other stakeholders.

• Strong written communication skills, including accurate spelling and grammar.

• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when preparing legal documents, forms and statements.

• Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, lawyers and legal secretaries.

• A strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.

• The ability to remain organised and effective when working under pressure.

• Good IT skills, with the majority of work being carried out electronically.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Knowledge:

• Understanding of legal terminology, relevant regulations and the HM Land Registry system, although full training will be provided.

• Ability to work effectively with legal technology, including HM Land Registry filing systems, computer systems, transcription software and Dictaphone.

• Understanding of the conveyancing process.
