Description:

Conveyancing Paralegal
Location: Canary Wharf, London
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE
Job Type: Permanent
Start Date: ASAP

Right Match Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded law firm based in Canary Wharf, who are looking to strengthen their growing Conveyancing Department with an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal.

This is an excellent opportunity for a career Paralegal with solid residential conveyancing experience who enjoys the practical side of property transactions and is looking to build a long-term career within a busy and supportive Conveyancing team.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide hands-on support across residential conveyancing matters, with a particular focus on progressing transactions through to exchange of contracts.

The client is specifically looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of the administrative and practical aspects of conveyancing and who enjoys working as part of a busy property team.

This is a career Paralegal position. The client is not looking for someone who is intending to qualify as a Solicitor within the next three years, as the existing department already has positions and progression routes in place for those looking to qualify. They are looking for someone who is committed to developing their career as a Paralegal and becoming a valued, long-term member of the Conveyancing team.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
Taking responsibility for the progression of files towards exchange of contracts
Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other solicitors
Preparing and issuing correspondence and legal documentation
Requesting and reviewing information required to progress transactions
Assisting with searches, enquiries and pre-exchange requirements
Chasing outstanding information and keeping transactions moving
Assisting fee earners with the day-to-day management of residential conveyancing files
Supporting exchange and completion processes
Undertaking post-exchange and post-completion administration
Assisting with Land Registry matters and file closures
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records
Providing general support to the wider Conveyancing Department

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within residential conveyancing, ideally as a Conveyancing Paralegal or in a similar property support position.

You will be:

Experienced in residential conveyancing and familiar with the transaction process
Confident in progressing files towards exchange of contracts
Organised with excellent attention to detail
Comfortable liaising directly with clients and third parties
Able to manage multiple files, priorities and deadlines
Proactive and confident in chasing matters to keep transactions progressing
A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
Reliable, professional and able to work effectively as part of a busy team
Looking to build a long-term career as a Conveyancing Paralegal rather than seeking solicitor qualification in the next three years

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal who enjoys the day-to-day progression of property transactions and wants to join a well-established firm where they can develop their expertise and build a long-term career.

ASAP start available.
