Ideally looking for a qualified solicitor at any level or an experienced licensed conveyancer to join a leading boutique North East Law Firm. This will be a Senior appointment within the firm and you will have a strong support team behind you.
Job Description
The Conveyancer manages and progresses residential and possibly commercial property transactions also from inception to completion. This role requires meticulous attention to legal detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines. The Conveyancer liaises with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, solicitors, and other relevant parties to ensure the smooth transfer of property ownership in compliance with current legislation and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough investigations into title deeds and property ownership records.
Prepare and review contracts, transfer documents, and other legal paperwork related to property transactions.
Liaise with clients to provide regular updates and respond promptly to enquiries.
Coordinate with mortgage lenders, surveyors, local authorities, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary information and approvals.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Law Society Conveyancing Protocol and anti-money laundering regulations.
Manage and maintain accurate case files and documentation throughout each transaction.
Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the conveyancing process.
Work efficiently to meet deadlines and manage caseload effectively.
Assist in the preparation of completion statements and finalise financial transactions associated with conveyancing cases.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in property law and conveyancing practises.
