Controls Engineer / Software Development Engineer - Malvern - £40,000 - £45,000
Controls Engineer / Software Development Engineer required to join an innovative leader in the manufacture of cutting-edge test automation technology, based in Malvern. In this role you will be part of a dynamic team where your expertise will contribute to shaping the future of test equipment technology.
This role would be ideal for someone who holds a degree in robotics, mechatronics or automation engineering who has a good understanding of C# and Visual Studio.

The Role:
Determining the best way to implement bespoke automation and control process from customer supplied requirements and specifications.
Developing C# control software
Knowledge of protocols such as Ethernet, Serial, Ethercat, CAN, AK protocol (over Ethernet/Serial) is useful
Developing automation sequences
Analysing engineering systems to advise the best methods of automation
Analysing post test diagnostics logs to advise fault rectifications within complex engineering systems
Create test and acceptance procedures
Creating custom system functionality based on customer requirements
Frequent site visits to customer for installing, testing and documenting the solution, within the UK and globally as required
Work with the Commissioning engineers and project/site managers to achieve sign off from the customer.
Source code management via SourceTree, BitBucket and Jira
Requirements:
Will have a degree in robotics, Mechatronics, Automation engineering or similar.
Will have a good understanding of automation hardware; Sensors, Actuators, motors, industrial robots, monitors & safety devices.
Good understanding of C# and Visual Studio
Happy to work away from home during the working week as required.
Full UK driving licence
