Express Recruitment are proud to be representing a highly reputable firm within the Controls & Automation sector. Our client specialises in the manufacture and installation of specialist control panels and associated systems for leading industry sectors. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Tendering Engineer with a proven background in proposals and tendering for the Controls and Automation industry.
In return, you will receive a generous starting salary of up to £42,000, option to buy/sell holidays, cash benefits scheme, healthcare and wellbeing scheme and long service recognition awards with genuine opportunity to progress into Senior Tendering Engineer.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Produce bespoke tender from customer specification or site visit and subsequent discussion
* Tender for manufacture of bespoke control panels, associated software and control engineering content
* Estimate time limits for CAD design, software engineering, system testing and on-site commissioning
* Tender for projects between the value of £50,000 to £250,000
* Develop and maintain professional working relationships with customers
* Consult with customers and in house project teams to develop detailed project tenders
* Follow up tender submissions via telephone call to the customer
* Assist with Framework Applications when required
Skills & Experience
* Demonstrable experience of working in L.V. Control Panel Design/Build and ideally have previous experience of tendering and submitting proposals
* Experience working in wastewater industry beneficial but not essential
* Capable of producing tenders from customer specification or site visit discussion
* Experience with systems including PLC software, Servo drives, SCADA, HMI software, high level communication networks and managed switches
* Background in electrical design with ability to modify, CAD drawings, schematics, and panel layouts
