Are you a Controls / PLC engineer looking to expand your skills and be a technical expert in a within a technically advanced and rapidly growing SME, where you will play a pivotal role, working on a range of highly technical, cutting edge projects, for the design and manufacture of specialist power and monitoring systems with sophisticated controls?

The company provide hybrid power and monitoring systems with sophisticated control, which combine renewable energy sources with traditional power sources, enabling reduced emissions and improved energy efficiency. They develop cutting-edge technologies to provide the latest solutions for applications in marine, off grid and specialist vehicles, supplying to a diverse range of reputable clients. Now looking to capitalise on recent success, they are expanding their engineering team, looking for an experienced Control Engineer who will develop new products, and support the existing range.

You will be responsible for configuration and programming of PLC systems for new products, modification and fault finding on existing PLC based products, integration of Victron equipment into projects (inverter / chargers), development of the control system software and hardware, and commissioning of equipment.

The role:

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team on NPI / NPD
Extensive training on specialist company specific products & systems
Configuration & programming of PLC systems
Modification & fault finding on existing PLC based products
Integration of Victron equipment intro projects (inverters / chargers)
Development and support of the control system software and hardware
Commissioning
Providing technical support to clientsThe person:

Experience with PLC Programming
