Control System Package Engineer

Description:

Our client, a renowned leader in the renewables sector, is actively looking for a Control System Package Engineer to join their contract-based project team.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, review, and approve control systems from package vendors to align with overarching plant controls.
Create specifications for individual components, ensuring their functionality meets project requirements by coordinating with suppliers.
Review and validate package technical drawings, focusing on instrument and controls aspects.
Collaborate with third-party system integrators to bolster project support.
Assist in the design and development of DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems across varied projects.
Ensure all package instruments adhere to safety standards, including SIL, LOPA, and HAZOP.
Work closely with end users and OEMs to guarantee compliance with project specifications and requirements.
Handle automation-related tasks such as generating I/O lists, instrumentation lists, and specifying control elements.
Contribute to the creation and development of design deliverables.

Job Requirements:

Proficiency in control systems engineering within the renewables industry.
Adept at interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and understanding international codes and standards.
Experience with DCS, PLC, and SCADA system design and integration.
Knowledge of safety systems and compliance requirements such as IEC 61508 and IEC 61511.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to be flexible and adaptive in a dynamic work environment.
