Contracts Manager - Surfacing & Highways

Up Front Recruitment is recruiting a Contracts Manager for an established surfacing and highways contractor with many years in the industry.
You’ll join a team that works together to get jobs delivered. The business has its own surfacing teams and specialist plant, so you’ll work closely with the people planning and carrying out the work.
Projects cover asphalt surfacing, road resurfacing and highways for public and private sector clients. There’s variety in the work, from smaller maintenance schemes to larger surfacing contracts.
As Contracts Manager, you’ll oversee jobs from planning through to completion, coordinating labour, materials and plant while keeping control of costs, programme and quality. You’ll maintain client relationships, support site teams and help resolve problems before they hold up the job.
You’ll need experience managing surfacing or highways contracts, a practical understanding of asphalt operations and confidence overseeing several jobs at once.
How you work with people matters here. You’ll be someone who communicates clearly, backs their team and takes responsibility for getting the work finished properly.
