Job Opportunity: Experienced Contracts Manager

Location:

North of England, preferably residing in the North West area – Postcodes: OL, M, WA, SK, L, BB, CH, BL

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager from the Flood and Fire, Insurance, or Construction industry to join our dynamic team in the North. This role focuses on delivering site-based works, ensuring projects are completed to a high standard, both in quality and profitability, in line with our operational procedures and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery: Oversee quality end-to-end project execution with the trades team and restoration technicians.
Planning: Utilize scoping tools to plan project delivery in line with the defined scope of works.
Resource Management: Efficiently manage resources to meet profit and productivity targets.
Documentation: Prepare all relevant paperwork, including on-site documents, to the pre-agreed company standard.
Communication: Maintain excellent communication with loss adjusters, insurers, and customers throughout project delivery.
Team Coordination: Ensure good lines of communication between trades and technicians.
Compliance: Implement and understand Quality, Management, and Health & Safety procedures, advising insured parties on the operation and safety of all plant and equipment, and providing safety data sheets when necessary.
Audit Actions: Respond and act on any audit actions with both the operative and the QM and H&S department.
Health & Safety: Comply with responsibilities specific to your role as detailed within the Health, Safety, and Environment Policy.
Travel: Travel anywhere in the UK to deliver projects.
Toolbox Talks: Plan and deliver monthly toolbox talks for your team.
Material Management: Ensure sufficient material stock is kept locally at the branch and arrange the delivery of materials to each site to complete projects.
Training: Attend training courses provided by the company or any external provider and deliver training programs to employees.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and deliver initiatives to improve the company's end-to-end offering.
New Procedures: Understand and implement the use of new procedures and materials.
Cost Efficiency: Manage projects on-site efficiently and cost-effectively.
Staff Development: Develop staff plans to satisfy employees' career paths.
Other Duties: Perform any other reasonable management requests.

Requirements:

Experience in the Flood and Fire, Insurance, or Construction industry.
Proven track record in managing contracts and delivering successful projects.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and compliance.
Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
Willingness to travel across the UK.
