Description:
First Task are working exclusively with a well-established Groundworks contractor based in Central Scotland with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial and residential groundworks packages. With a strong pipeline of workload, they are looking to recruit a Contracts Manager to join their growing team. As Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing their minor groundworks projects (£50k-250k) from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, organise, and manage groundworks projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Review and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Monitor project costs, including labour, materials, and equipment, to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.
* Allocate resources, including labour, equipment, and materials, to projects, ensuring optimal utilisation and efficiency.
* Implement quality control measures to ensure that all groundworks meet the required standards and specifications.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on all projects
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
* Provide leadership and guidance to the groundworks squads
* Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience within commercial groundworks projects such as education, retail and healthcare and residential.
* Ability to manage multiple projects across Central Sctoland.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Strong customer focus
