About the Company

Our client is a leading construction company and the fastest-growing contractor in the Midlands, with a strong and expanding pipeline of social housing projects. As part of their continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager with a mechanical, plumbing, or electrical background to oversee the delivery of multiple social housing schemes across the region.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Contracts Manager with an M&E background to join a genuinely fast-growing business and take ownership of the delivery of social housing contracts from start to finish. You will manage site teams and subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards, while acting as the key point of contact for clients throughout the build.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee the day-to-day delivery of multiple social housing contracts, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

* Manage site management teams, subcontractors, and supply chains across a portfolio of live projects.

* Take a lead role in the management of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation works, ensuring compliance with specification and regulations.

* Act as the main point of contact for clients, housing associations, and consultants, maintaining strong working relationships.

* Monitor programme, quality, and health & safety performance across all sites, taking corrective action where required.

* Work closely with the commercial team to support cost control, valuations, and variations.

* Chair site meetings and produce regular progress reports for senior management and clients.

* Support the mobilisation of new contracts as the business continues to grow.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the social housing sector.

* Background in mechanical, plumbing, or electrical installation works is essential.

* Strong track record of managing multiple live sites and subcontractor teams simultaneously.

* Sound knowledge of health & safety legislation, with SMSTS and/or CSCS card held.

* Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

* Commercially aware, with the ability to support programme and cost control.

* Full UK driving licence required.
