£100m + turnover contractor is looking for an up-and-coming individual who is looking to progress into a contracts management position.

This role would suit someone based around London, potentially from a strong fit-out / shopfitting background, who has had experience at site management level, and had good exposure to blue chip / retail or food retail clients and looking to step-up'. This could appeal to someone who has hit a ceiling with their current employer, with little room for upward progression. They are not looking for the finished article - I'm thinking Luke Skywalker rather than Yoda…

The contracts manager would be joining a £30m national account delivering around 200 projects a year from refurbishments to new stores.

You would be responsible for projects from £100,000 to circa £1m which are all extremely fast track, with no room for error. If you have worked on fast-track fit-out projects for clients such as McDonald's, M&S, Tesco, Costa Coffee, Sainsbury's etc. to name but a few - you would be familiar with the demands and expectations that come with a role like this.

·Management of costs and client instructions and effective programming of works
·Providing a complete management solution on projects under your remit, from initial briefing to handover.
·Attention to understanding the clients' needs and attending to them
·Must be a great communicator and skilled at building relationships.
·A highly organised manager
·Delivering projects ahead of schedule and under budget.
·Commercial awareness with experience of (or an understanding of procurement, negotiating contracts and managing contracts).
·Someone that has run their own business in the past often does well with this company
·Computer Literacy

Qualifications:
·SMSTS & further qualifications (degree or HNC or HND - construction related)
