Salary: £78,000+ + Package

We are currently looking to speak with an experienced Contracts Manager to join a well established civil engineering, overseeing the delivery of civil engineering projects within the water and wastewater sector.
This is a senior operational opportunity for an established construction professional with substantial water industry experience, looking to take responsibility for project delivery, operational performance and the management of site-based teams across a portfolio of works.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and in line with programme requirements, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Overseeing the delivery of multiple water and wastewater civil engineering projects.
*
Managing and supporting Site Agents, Site Managers and wider operational teams.
*
Taking responsibility for programme, resources and overall project performance.
*
Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with contractual, commercial and technical requirements.
*
Managing client relationships and attending progress and operational meetings.
*
Monitoring project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
*
Overseeing subcontractor procurement and performance.
*
Ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality standards are maintained.
*
Identifying and managing operational risks, implementing solutions where required.
*
Reporting on project progress and performance to senior management.
*
Supporting the continued development of operational teams and delivery processes.
Requirements
*
Previous experience as a Contracts Manager or in a similar senior operational management position within civil engineering.
*
Essential: Strong experience delivering water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects.
*
Proven experience overseeing multiple projects and managing site-based teams.
*
Strong understanding of civil engineering construction methods and project delivery.
*
Good commercial awareness and understanding of contractual requirements.
*
Experience managing client relationships and subcontractors.
*
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
*
Relevant construction qualifications, including SMSTS.
*
Full UK driving licence.
Package

Salary from £78,000 upwards, depending on experience.
*
Additional package.
