Contracts Manager – Civil Engineering

Salary: £50,000–£70,000
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
We are currently looking to speak with an experienced Contracts Manager to join an established civil engineering contractor on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional with a strong civil engineering background to take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects, overseeing operational performance, site management teams and subcontractors.
The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating projects from planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, commercially and in line with agreed programmes.
Key Responsibilities

Managing the delivery of multiple civil engineering projects across the region.
*
Overseeing Site Managers, Site Agents and operational teams.
*
Monitoring project programmes, progress and resource requirements.
*
Ensuring projects are delivered in line with specifications, budgets and contractual requirements.
*
Managing client relationships and attending progress meetings.
*
Overseeing subcontractor performance and procurement.
*
Monitoring commercial performance, costs and project profitability.
*
Ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality standards are maintained.
*
Identifying and managing operational risks and resolving project issues.
*
Providing regular progress and performance reports to senior management.
Requirements
*
Previous experience as a Contracts Manager or in a senior operational management position within civil engineering.
*
Strong background in delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
*
Proven experience managing multiple projects and site-based teams.
*
Good understanding of construction programmes, commercial performance and contractual requirements.
*
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
*
Ability to build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
*
Relevant construction qualifications would be advantageous.

Salary between £50,000–£70,000, depending on experience.
