Salary:

£75,000 - £90,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

About the Opportunity

Our client is a leading design and construction business delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK water sector.

Following the award of a significant long-term framework, they are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a portfolio of clean water, wastewater, reservoir, network and environmental improvement projects throughout North Wales.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation with a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects whilst investing heavily in employee development and career progression.

The Role

Reporting into senior operational leadership, you will have responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects and site teams across the framework.

You will provide leadership, direction and support to Site Managers and project teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, profitably and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing a portfolio of water and wastewater infrastructure projects

Leading and mentoring Site Managers and delivery teams

Driving health, safety, environmental and quality performance

Ensuring projects are delivered to programme and budget

Managing client relationships and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction

Supporting commercial performance and contract administration

Driving consistency across projects through robust processes and standards

Identifying and managing project risks and opportunities

Supporting workforce planning and team development

Promoting a positive culture across all operational activities

Requirements

Essential

Previous experience in a Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager or similar leadership role

Strong civil engineering or infrastructure background

Experience managing multiple projects and site teams simultaneously

Good understanding of NEC contracts

Strong leadership and people management skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

SMSTS certification

CSCS Card

Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

Experience within the water sector

Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or related discipline

Experience delivering projects under major utility frameworks

Knowledge of treatment works, pipelines, reservoirs or environmental schemes
