Contracts Manager (Anaerobic Digestion & Water Treatment) -
Role Overview
The Contracts Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of complex engineering and construction projects, acting as the primary client contact and leading multidisciplinary teams. The role oversees programme delivery, commercial performance, procurement, risk management, and compliance, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Stakeholder Management
* Act as the main client representative and primary point of contact.
* Build strong relationships with clients, partners, and third-party stakeholders.
* Manage client feedback, resolve issues, and identify opportunities to expand services.
* Leadership & Team Management
* Lead and develop multidisciplinary project teams.
* Provide mentoring, performance management, and resource planning.
* Support recruitment and contribute to tenders and business growth initiatives.
* Promote a collaborative, performance-driven culture.
Project Delivery & Commercial Management
* Oversee programme delivery, budgets, procurement, forecasting, and cashflow.
* Manage project risks and opportunities to improve performance and profitability.
* Drive continuous improvement through best-practice project management methodologies.
* Report regularly on project, commercial, and compliance performance.
Health, Safety & Sustainability
* Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Sustainability standards.
* Promote a proactive safety culture across all projects.
* Support sustainability, Net Zero, energy efficiency, and circular economy objectives.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* 10+ years' experience in a similar construction, infrastructure, engineering, water, wastewater, or bioresources environment.
* Proven experience managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
* Strong commercial, contract, procurement, and stakeholder management skills.
* Sound understanding of HSQE regulations and modern project delivery methodologies.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and team development capabilities.
