Contracts Manager – Structural Alterations
Location: London / Projects across London
Rate: £500–£550 per day, depending on experience
Bonus: Annual performance bonus
Employment: Self-Employed / Limited Company
We are recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to join an established specialist contractor delivering structural alteration and complex construction projects across London.
This is a senior position with responsibility for managing 3–4 projects simultaneously, reporting directly to a Director.
The Role
Manage 3–4 live projects simultaneously
Oversee Project Managers and site teams across multiple sites
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
Manage programmes using ASTA Powerproject
Work closely with Tier 1 Main Contractors and key stakeholders
Manage contractual requirements across JCT and NEC contracts
Monitor project performance, programmes, commercial issues and delivery
Report directly to a Director
Experience Required
Ideally 5–6+ years' experience as a Contracts Manager
Senior Project Managers ready to step up into a Contracts Manager position will also be considered
8+ years' experience within structural alterations
Strong background working for a specialist subcontractor rather than a Main Contractor
Experience delivering projects for Tier 1 Main Contractors
Good working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
Experience using ASTA Powerproject is essential
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
