Overview:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a specialist infrastructure team delivering a range of technically complex projects, with a strong focus on EV charging infrastructure and secure public-sector sites.
The Contracts Manager will oversee the contractual and commercial aspects of multiple projects, ensuring obligations are met, risks are managed and projects are delivered effectively. The role would suit someone from an M&E, electrical, infrastructure, construction or similarly technical background, with experience managing contracts in a fast-paced project environment. Due to the nature of some projects, higher levels of security clearance may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all contractual aspects of projects from award through to completion.
* Review, negotiate and administer contracts, subcontracts and related agreements.
* Ensure contractual obligations, client requirements and company policies are met.
* Provide contractual advice and support to Project Managers and delivery teams.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and key stakeholders.
* Monitor contract performance, variations, change control and potential claims.
* Identify contractual, commercial and delivery risks and implement appropriate mitigation.
* Maintain accurate contractual records, documentation and reporting.
* Report on contractual risks, opportunities and financial performance to senior management.
* Support the preparation of tenders, bids and framework opportunities.
* Ensure health, safety and compliance requirements are reflected within contractual arrangements.
* Manage confidential and commercially sensitive information appropriately.
* Support continuous improvement across contract management processes and project delivery.
* Work collaboratively across multiple projects, balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience working as a Contracts Manager or in a similar role.
* Experience within M&E, electrical infrastructure, EV charging, construction, civil engineering or a related technical sector.
* Strong understanding of NEC and other standard forms of contract.
* Relevant degree, HNC/HND or equivalent professional experience.
* Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Confident managing contractual risks, variations, claims and commercial issues.
* Competent using contract management systems and Microsoft Office.
* SMSTS or equivalent health and safety qualification desirable.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Ability to obtain and maintain the required level of security clearance for relevant projects.
