Our client is a well-established and highly respected specialist joinery contractor delivering high-quality joinery and fit-out projects across Scotland. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team on a permanent basis at their headquarters in Cumbernauld.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware and driven Contracts Manager to join a successful business with an excellent reputation for delivering bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects across a range of sectors.

The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, site teams and senior leadership, you will oversee all contractual and operational aspects of project delivery while maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing multiple joinery and fit-out projects from contract award through to completion.

* Leading and supporting Project Managers and site teams to ensure successful project delivery.

* Monitoring project performance, programme, quality and budgets.

* Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

* Ensuring projects comply with contractual obligations, health and safety legislation and company procedures.

* Managing project risks and resolving issues to minimise delays and cost impacts.

* Overseeing resource planning and allocation across multiple projects.

* Reviewing project progress and providing regular commercial and operational reports to senior management.

* Supporting tender handovers and pre-construction planning.

* Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiencies.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

* Previous experience as a Contracts Manager within the construction, joinery or fit-out sector.

* A proven track record of successfully delivering multiple construction projects.

* Strong knowledge of construction contracts and project management principles.

* Excellent leadership and people management skills.

* Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.

* Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

* The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

* A full UK driving licence is essential.
