Contract Quality Engineer
Rolling contract, immediate start available
Opportunity to join a ground breaking design, development and manufacturing business on a rolling contract basis.
Due to winning a major contract they are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support delivery of their yield and efficiency targets through application of lean quality tools within their smart manufacturing facility.
As such as Quality Engineer you will own and manage customer concerns for a specific project as well as support APQP activities both in house and with customers to ensure robust solutions and corrective actions are delivered.
The environment is a dynamic, fast-paced environment and you will be working with a team of passionate engineers.
Key accountabilities as Quality Engineer will include:
Assisting with implementing Quality Improvement Programme though the application of lean quality tools & techniques such as FMEA, Ishikawa, Pareto analysis and similar
Undertake APQP plans for New Product Introduction
Analysis of internal production processes and customer returns to identify and recurring quality issues and areas for improvement
To ultimately lead and drive forward product quality and continuous improvement both in design and manufacture
To succeed in this interesting role you will need to be:
A qualified Engineer with a quality background in a mechanical / electro-mechanical or similar manufacturing background with a working knowledge of Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) and experience in the application or process capability and process resolution tools such as 5 Why, 8D or similar.
The ability to work cross-functionally and work both internally and externally with suppliers.
