JOB DESCRIPTION

About the role

The Guinness Partnership is seeking a Contract Officer to join the Mechanical and Electrical Compliance Team on a full-time, permanent basis. We offer hybrid working, so your days will split between working in the Oldham office and working from home.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Asset Management Directorate. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of compliance services that keep our residents safe and our homes compliant. Areas of responsibility include Door Entry Systems, Barriers, Gates, Warden Call Systems, CCTV, Smoke Detection systems, amongst others. Working alongside the Contract Manager, you will support the management of a defined portfolio of asset compliance contracts, helping to ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met while delivering excellent resident outcomes and value for money.

What we are looking for

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience of contract administration, compliance, contractor management or asset management. You will support the delivery of planned preventative maintenance programmes, responsive repairs and equipment replacement projects, while monitoring contractor performance and ensuring services are delivered safely, effectively and in line with contractual requirements.

Essential skills and experience

You will be able to demonstrate:

The ability to gather information, diagnose problems, draw logical conclusions and recommend practical solutions.
Experience building and maintaining positive working relationships with contractors, residents and colleagues across a range of functions.
Awareness of statutory and regulatory requirements relating to asset compliance and resident safety.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
A sound understanding of financial controls and budget monitoring.
The ability to demonstrate the Guinness behavioural competencies and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Desirable skills and experience

Experience supporting the management or delivery of asset compliance contracts.
Experience analysing management information and performance data to identify service improvements.
Awareness of the compliance and regulatory requirements facing social housing providers.
Knowledge of health and safety requirements, compliance frameworks and project delivery.
Experience using housing management or contract management systems such as NEC/Northgate.
Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables and reporting dashboards.
