Contract Manager job in Thame – leading the delivery of responsive maintenance services across multiple social housing workstreams, offering the opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering essential repairs and maintenance services to residential properties.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contract Manager to join a leading contractor delivering responsive maintenance services within the social housing sector.

Reporting into senior leadership, the successful candidate will take full operational responsibility for a portfolio of social housing contracts, overseeing multiple workstreams including responsive repairs, voids, disrepair, and planned maintenance. The role will involve managing operational teams, supervisors, subcontractors, and client relationships to ensure excellent service delivery, KPI performance, and contractual compliance.

This is an office-based role in Thame, with the opportunity to work from home one day per week once established within the business.

Key Responsibilities

Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple responsive maintenance workstreams, including repairs, voids, and disrepair

Lead and manage operational teams, supervisors, subcontractors, and supply chain partners

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, residents, and key stakeholders

Ensure contracts consistently achieve KPI, SLA, and customer satisfaction targets

Oversee programme delivery, resource planning, and operational performance across multiple contracts

Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual obligations

Apply and manage works in line with National Federation Schedule of Rates (Nat Fed SORs)

Monitor financial performance, productivity, and commercial outcomes alongside the commercial team

Chair client meetings, operational reviews, and performance meetings

Drive continuous improvement, compliance, and high standards of health & safety across all operations

Mentor and develop operational teams to maximise performance and service delivery

Requirements

Previous experience working as a Contract Manager within social housing responsive maintenance

Proven experience managing multiple workstreams including responsive repairs, voids, disrepair, and maintenance contracts

Strong working knowledge of National Federation Schedule of Rates (Nat Fed SORs)

Experience managing operational teams across high-volume maintenance contracts

Excellent client management and stakeholder engagement skills

Strong commercial awareness and experience managing contract performance

Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills

Full UK driving licence

Package & Benefits

Up to £60,000 per annum DOE

26 days annual leave
