Contract Draughtsperson

Description:

Nexus Resource Solutions are working in partnership with a market leading engineering company who specialise in the engineering and manufacturing services to the offshore, Marine, Renewables and Naval markets.

Due to continued success, they require Drafter to join their talented engineering department.

Job Responsibilities:

·Produce and check General Arrangement and Component drawings in line with established standards (e.g. BS8888)

·Produce and develop accurate 3D models

·Ensure all deliverables are verified and validated in accordance with all relevant Company policies and regulatory requirements

·Participate in internal design review meetings

·Ensure that internal checking and approvals procedures are adhered to

·Ensure correct and thorough maintenance of project documentation

·Ensure Company Engineering Change Procedures are adhered to

·Ensure Customer Care and Quality are always at the forefront.

·Be fully aware of personal workload, prioritise and organise to ensure deadlines are achieved

·Ensure a high standard of professionalism is maintained

·Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the work area and department

·Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and HSE Company policy

·Be fully familiar and conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times

·Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager

Knowledge and Skills:

·Experience in the design of mechanical systems

·Proficient in the production of Engineering designs and drawings to relevant standards

·Computer literacy (including good command of MS Excel, Word, Outlook)

·Working knowledge of limits and fits and geometric tolerancing.

·Experience in Solidworks-based modelling and detail drawing, weldments desirable

·Experience of part and BOM generation in an ERP system

Salary/Hours:

·£33ph

·Hybrid working

·Mon & Fri home working in place

·37hr week
