Description:

Fortress Recruit is supporting a leading engineering and manufacturing business in their search for an experienced Contract Data Processing Analyst to support a major ERP transformation programme. This is an Outside IR35 opportunity for 6-12 months supporting the migration from multiple legacy data sources into a new ERP system.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Reviewing and rationalising large volumes of existing business data

* Identifying duplicate, conflicting, incomplete and inconsistent records

* Comparing data across multiple legacy databases and systems

* Cleansing and standardising data ready for migration into Infor

* Identifying data that requires restructuring or reformatting for the new system

* Using SQL to extract, interrogate and reconcile data where appropriate

* Working with Excel and other data sources to collate and prepare information

* Supporting data mapping and migration preparation

* Working with Process Data Owners across the business to identify and resolve data issues

* Reviewing data relating to BOMs, parts, routings, stock, suppliers, customers, sales and purchase orders, engineering, manufacturing, finance and HR

* Supporting data held behind PLM and engineering systems, including databases associated with SolidWorks, Creo and Windchill

* Identifying missing data and defining what is required before migration

* Providing clean and structured datasets to support the wider ERP implementation team

* Supporting reconciliation and validation activities as the implementation progresses

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Strong experience in data analysis, data cleansing or data migration

* Excellent Microsoft Excel skills

* Good working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write queries and interrogate multiple datasets

* Experience working with large volumes of business data

* Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to data quality

* The ability to identify patterns, inconsistencies and anomalies within complex datasets

* Experience working independently and managing a defined data workstream

* Strong communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders across different business functions

* A good understanding of manufacturing data, ideally including BOMs, routings, parts, stock and purchase orders

* Power BI experience would be beneficial, particularly the ability to work with and understand existing reports and datasets, although this is not primarily a dashboard development role.

* Experience supporting an ERP implementation would be highly advantageous. Experience working within engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, defence or another industrial environment would also be particularly relevant.

This is an Outside IR35 contract opportunity based in Poole, supporting a major ERP transformation programme. The role offers remote flexibility, with onsite presence required at key stages of the implementation.
