Description:
Contract and Billing Accountant – (finance / administration role: sales order invoicing, contract processing). This well-established Technology company is experiencing huge growth, and is set for trebling revenues over the next 5 years.
The Finance department is a very friendly and collaborative team, with a very high retention rate; this is a company you can really settle with for the long-term.
The role has responsibilities for billings and order creation & configuration across a wide range of contracts, as well as helping with other operational tasks around the revenue streams. It encompasses processes for: Sales, Receivables, Receipts accounting, with reconciliation and reporting as part of the sales cycle.
Other responsibilities cover: data preparation for contract renewals; customer/contract records administration; data import & manipulation; KPI report production.
Contract and Billing Accountant – the person:
Despite Accountant in the title, this isn’t a qualified accountancy-level position, but would more suit someone from a Finance administration background (who is perhaps AAT level 2 / 3 qualified), who has worked in a mid-sized accounts team, who is looking to further their career in this field.
Previous (essential) experience:
> Sales order processing with customer invoicing
> Month-end reporting cycle (ideally in an IT or Tech organisation)
> Excellent numerical skills
> Good Excel (pivot tables, sumif, vlookup)
> Excellent communication skills
> Collaborative nature – a real team player!
Desirable skills cover: annual contract / subscription revenue streams experience; Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains)
Location: This is mostly a remote role (the entire finance team is remote) however they do meet at the office in Bedford once per month, so candidates must be able to meet this requirement please.
Salary to £36,000.
