Job Title: Continuous Improvement Project Manager

Location: Bradford, United Kingdom

Working: Hybrid

Company: A leading chemical manufacturer in Bradford, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Continuous Improvement Project Manager to join our team on a long-term 12-month contract. Our company is currently undergoing an exciting phase of growth following the recent acquisition of a similar chemical company, and we are committed to driving operational excellence and achieving substantial OPEX savings.

Role Overview: As the Continuous Improvement Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness across our operations. Working closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) and various stakeholders, you will lead initiatives aimed at optimizing processes, reducing waste, and enhancing overall performance to contribute to our £3 million OPEX saving target for the year.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management: Lead and execute continuous improvement projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

2. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements through data analysis, benchmarking, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

3. Change Management: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating change management activities, including training, communication, and stakeholder engagement.

4. Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and performance metrics to track progress, evaluate project outcomes, and identify areas for further improvement.

5. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and barriers to project success, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues to minimize disruptions.

6. Collaboration: Work closely with departmental heads, subject matter experts, and external consultants to leverage expertise and resources for successful project delivery.

7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, prepare progress reports, and present findings to senior management and key stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

* Proven track record of at least 5 years in project management, with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing or chemical industry.

* Strong understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools, with relevant certifications (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) preferred.

* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend solutions for process optimization.

* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire change at all levels of the organization.

* Experience working in a PMO environment and familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA) is desirable.
