Description:

Continuous Improvement Practitioner needed for our Engineering client based in Greater Manchester to fully support the business objectives and improve performance; a focus on resolving critical business issues; identifying and developing internal champions; action plans; and by motivating and empowering employees to continuously improve and grow the business.

You will bring work experience in Operations roles with well demonstrated ‘hands on’ success in excellent Lean Implementation and influencing skills at all levels of the business.

* Ensure achievement of business objectives by acting as a key point of contact to all management and supervisors

* Support daily SQCDP meetings and ensure that daily routines are carried out and visual boards are updated.

* Support the site Improvement Projects to enable top level business objectives to be achieved.

* Lead and facilitate CI events to achieve strategic business targets in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost

* Become lean Champion in nominated fields including TPM, SMED, Problem solving, Line Balance, Takt, Standard Work, Flow VSM, Workplace organisation.

* Train and educate key individuals in the application of the Tools of Lean

* Provide ongoing Lean audits to assess progress and Process Confirmation

* To actively promote and take a direct role in the use of improvements throughout the Company across all functions (improvement is everyone and everywhere)

* Develop and drive the site productivity reporting, working with Finance and Managers across the business to monitor and report cost savings.

* Improvement of key operating goals for safety, quality, and cost on time delivery

Qualifications And Requirements

·Engineering degree or equivalent experience

·Minimum of 5 years' experience in a lean improvement role

·Demonstrable knowledge and implementation of CI and lean tools and associate principles

·Knowledge of and application of Root Cause Analysis Tools

·Proven achievement of positive impact to the bottom line
