Job Title: Container Repairer
Location: SS17 9DY
We are currently in search of candidates for an ongoing Container Repairer position with one of our clients, specializing in the repair and restoration of damaged shipping containers. This role encompasses a broad range of repair tasks, from minor fixes to extensive structural work, ensuring that containers are returned to a fully operational and safe condition.
Work Schedule:

Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 6 am – 6 pm.
Flexibility is required as night shifts may be needed for up to 1 week maximum. Weekend shifts are also potential requirements.
Please note that the working hours may be subject to adjustment before your start date.Salary:

Day Rate: £14.50 per hour
Night Rate: £16.50 per hour
Salary is paid on a PAYE basis.Key Responsibilities:

Welding Repairs: Perform welding tasks to repair small pinholes, cracks, and other structural damages within the containers.
Cutting Operations: Utilise oxygen and set cutting techniques for the removal of damaged sections, including precise cutting for the preparation of patches or replacements.
Flooring: Remove damaged flooring material and install new flooring to ensure container integrity and safety.
Door Mechanism Repairs: Replace and repair all components of the container's door mechanisms, including cam keepers, cams, hinges, and other related hardware.
Roof Repairs: Conduct repairs on full roof panels, including inserting new panels as required, to address leaks or significant damage.
Structural Components: Replace and fix corner posts and corner castings at both the front and rear of the container to maintain structural integrity.Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication, with a strong understanding of safety standards and quality control measures.
Skilled in the use of cutting equipment, including proficiency in oxygen and gas cutting techniques.
Background in container repairs, carpentry, or a related field is highly advantageous, particularly with experience in flooring installation and door mechanism repairs.
Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, diagrams, and blueprints to accurately assess damage and plan repair strategies.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to achieving high-quality repair standards.
Capable of working independently and as part of a team, with excellent time-management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.This position is ideal for individuals with a technical aptitude and a keen eye for detail, looking to apply their repair skills in a dynamic and challenging environment
