Salary Range: £56,151 - £59,220 per annum
Work Location: 145 King Street, Hammersmith, London, W6 9XY
Hours per Week: 36.00
Contract Type: Temporary up to 12 months

Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced and inspiring social worker for the role of Consultant Social Worker. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your social work career by staying in frontline practice while developing management and leadership skills. You'll be pivotal in leading change within our organisation and shaping the next generation of social workers through the Think Ahead programme.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise 4 students
Commit to the learning and development programme
Adhere to local policies and procedures, including our climate and ecological emergency initiatives
Plan and deliver participant inductions
Act as an ambassador for Think Ahead, promoting social interventions within mental health services
Integrate the unit within the organisation
Allocate service user caseloads and ensure effective social work support
Role-model outstanding evidence-based social work practice
Develop participants' practice skills in line with the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF)
Provide individual and group supervision, support participants' welfare, and coordinate with Personal Tutors
Enhance the profile of mental health social work in the organisation
Foster participants' leadership skills
Collaborate with Practice Specialists on quality assurance
Participate in evaluations and feedback processesAbout You:

Education:

Degree in Social Work with current Social Work England registration
Interest in postgraduate study
Practice Educator Professional Standards Stage 2 qualification (desirable)
Ongoing CPD in social work practice and leadership (desirable)Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:

Minimum of two years post-qualifying experience (desirable)
Experience in supervising or mentoring practitioners (desirable)
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in adult mental health social work
Significant experience in mental health or related settings
Excellent risk assessment and management skills
Proficient in reflective practice and providing constructive feedback
Strong analytical, influencing, and negotiation skills
Committed to anti-discriminatory and anti-racist practice
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
IT literate
DBS clearance
Full driving license and access to a car (desirable)Personal Qualities:
