Are you a skilled construction professional with a passion for teaching and mentoring? We are working on an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Construction Tutor to join one of our partner colleges from September 2024

Role and Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and practical construction lessons to students aged 16-19.
Develop and implement a curriculum that covers a range of construction disciplines, including carpentry, bricklaying, plumbing, and electrical work.
Provide hands-on training and real-world experience through workshops, projects, and site visits.
Assess and monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback and support to ensure their development and success.
Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and effective learning environment.
Participate in college events, open days, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:

Relevant qualifications in construction or a related field (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds).
Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or relevant industry qualifications and teaching experience.
Industry experience in the construction sector.
Strong knowledge of construction techniques, tools, and safety standards.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

We are offering a £200 referral fee for any Teacher referred to us, once they have completed their first day of work. This is unlimited so you can refer as many teachers as you like (they must be able to commit to a minimum of 2 days per week)!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
