Description:

Construction Trainer

£35,000 - £40,000 + Professional Development + Further Qualifications + Benefits

Ipswich

Are you an experienced Construction professional with a background in roofing, carpentry or a related construction trade looking to come off the tools and showcase your skillset to help shape the next generation of skilled tradespeople and get into training?

On offer is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing specialist training provider where you can take your industry experience into an education based role, receive full support to develop your teaching skills and build a long term career away from the physical demands of site work.

This business is continuing to grow and is investing heavily in the development of its training provision. You will play an important part in that growth, bringing your practical knowledge into the classroom and workshop whilst being given the opportunity to develop professionally yourself.

The role will give you genuine scope to expand your qualifications, with support available towards teacher training, IOSH, NEBOSH and other relevant qualifications. Whether you are an experienced trainer or an industry professional looking to make your first move into education, you will be supported throughout your development. You will deliver practical construction training to apprentices and learners, sharing the knowledge and experience you have built throughout your career. Alongside construction, you will have the opportunity to broaden your skillset across areas including manual handling, working at height, first aid and health and safety.

This role would suit an experienced construction professional, particularly someone with roofing experience, who is ready for a new challenge and wants to turn their trade knowledge into a career where they can make a genuine difference. Previous teaching experience is not essential, making this an excellent opportunity for someone coming directly from the tools.

The Role:
*Deliver practical construction training to apprentices and learners
*Use your industry experience to develop the next generation of skilled tradespeople
*Contribute to the continued growth and development of the training provision
*Develop your own teaching and professional qualifications with full support

The Person:
*Strong construction background, with roofing experience particularly desirable
*NVQ Level 3 in Roofing, Carpentry, Construction or a related discipline
*Reliable, professional and keen to develop a long term career in education
*Able to pass a DBS check
