Construction Solicitor (Senior Associate) sought for leading, Legal 500 Law Firm in Central London.

The Firm

Our client is based in the heart of London's historic legal district and has been established for over a hundred years.

With historical roots in Litigation, our client has grown to become a dynamic and thriving practice that meets the multi-faceted needs of clients in the UK and abroad.

The firm's Construction Team, which forms part of their L500 ranked Real Estate Department, is looking to welcome an experienced Construction Solicitor at Senior Associate level with the intention of progressing the successful individual to Partnership within 1-2 years.

The Opportunity

The firm's Real Estate practice has been repeatedly awarded for its expertise in the field, with many of their Lawyers individually recognised as 'Leading Individuals'.

The Construction Team offers both contentious and non-contentious legal services to clients including developers, contractors and funders. Their expert Lawyers are experienced in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), adjudication, full scale litigation and arbitration.

As a Construction Solicitor and Senior Associate, your position will involve:

Drafting and negotiating all manner of construction documentation, including construction contracts, professional appointments, development agreements, construction aspects of agreements for lease, guarantees, bonds and collateral warranties
Undertaking adjudication, arbitration, mediation and/or litigation
Corresponding with clients and opposing solicitors, attending meetings and negotiating with opposing parties; and
Proactively seeking business development opportunities for existing and potential clients

The role would suit an experienced and ambitious Construction Solicitor (Senior Associate level, or striving towards) who is currently working in a comparable environment and can take on a high degree of responsibility from the outset.

Requirements

Qualified Construction Solicitor with 7+ years' PQE
Extensive experience in contentious construction law
Excellent academics
