Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join one of our well-established clients in Birmingham.
Our client is a leading UK construction and civil engineering contractor with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-profile infrastructure, commercial, residential and transportation projects across the UK and Ireland.
Main Scope of Work: Civils, structural, M&E and fit out
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fit-out subcontractors.
Develop and maintain project programmes, resource plans, and delivery strategies.
Monitor project performance against budget, programme, and key milestones.
Manage risk identification, mitigation, and opportunity tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
Chair project progress meetings and provide regular reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
Coordinate design development and resolve technical and construction-related challenges.
Oversee procurement activities and subcontractor management.
Ensure all commissioning, testing, and handover requirements are planned and completed efficiently.
Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, local authorities, and other key stakeholders.
Drive a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the project team.
Skills and Requirements:
Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Valid Management CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid
Valid Temporary Works Qualification
Previous experience as a Project Manager on a similar project
Experience within the areas listed above
Strong communication and leadership skills
Working References - Essential
Strong work ethic
Full UK License
