The Opportunity

12 Recruitment are currently working with an established main contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Construction Project Manager to join their team.

The business has a growing portfolio of projects across the residential and affordable housing sectors and is looking for a Project Manager who can take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion.

This is an opportunity to join a progressive contractor with a healthy workload and the scope to take on increasing responsibility as the business continues to develop.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.

You will work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Manage construction projects from commencement through to completion.

*

Develop and maintain project programmes and delivery plans.

*

Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and internal project teams.

*

Monitor progress against programme and take appropriate action where required.

*

Manage project budgets, costs and resources.

*

Identify and address project risks, delays and commercial issues.

*

Ensure works are delivered to the required quality standards.

*

Maintain a strong focus on health, safety and environmental requirements.

*

Manage client relationships and provide regular project updates.

*

Lead project teams and ensure effective communication across all stakeholders.

*

Ensure construction activities comply with relevant legislation, regulations and company procedures.

*

Attend site and project meetings as required.

About You

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Construction Project Manager with a background in delivering residential construction projects.

Experience within affordable housing, residential development or a similar sector would be advantageous.

You will be commercially aware, well organised and confident managing subcontractors and project teams, with the ability to identify problems and drive solutions.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager.

*

Strong track record of delivering construction projects through to completion.

*

Residential construction experience is highly desirable.

*

Experience managing programmes, budgets, subcontractors and project teams.

*

Good knowledge of construction methods, regulations and industry standards.

*

Strong communication and leadership skills.

*

Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.

*

Relevant construction qualification or degree would be advantageous.

*

Competent with relevant project management and construction software.
