An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Construction Project Manager to join a multidisciplinary Consultancy based in Edinburgh.

This role offers the chance to play a crucial part in the delivery of a diverse and exciting range of projects across the UK, spanning both public and private sectors.

The Construction Project Manager Role

As a Construction Project Manager, you will be instrumental in managing smaller scale projects while also providing support to Senior Project Managers on larger initiatives. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career development, including the potential for line management and mentoring of junior members within the Project Management Team.

You will be joining a growing Project Management team, supporting both existing and new clients in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver projects for public sector buildings, including education buildings, defence infrastructure, industrial, and residential development.
Assist in managing project proposals, determining project requirements, scope, resources, programme, and cost estimates.
Develop and maintain essential project management documentation, such as project plans, cost estimates, risk registers, and schedules.
Monitor and control project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and progress, ensuring adherence to project governance.
Engage in contract management and administration, including change management.
Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary project teams, promoting a focus on health, safety, inclusion, and diversity.
Serve as a key contact for clients, fostering and growing excellent relationships.The Construction Project Manager

A degree in a relevant technical discipline (engineering, building, quantity surveying, science, project or construction management) or equivalent project experience.
Membership or working towards chartership of an appropriate professional institution (PMI, APM, MRICS, MCIOB).
Professional level qualification/certification such as PRINCE2, APM PMQ (APMP), or RPP preferred.
Interest or accreditation in NEC3/4 is advantageous.
Demonstrates tenacity, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, patience, attention to detail, collaboration, innovation, and a digitally savvy approach.
