About the Company/Client/Project:
My client is a respected main contractor in a period of sustained growth with a pedigree in industrial and commercial schemes from £5 to £250 million on value across the UK.

This project is awarded and soon to be on site, this is part of a £500 million high tech campus expansion plan and consists of number of steel frame high spec buildings with offices and associated clean room and production facilities across an expansive site

Reporting to the construction director you will be the on site number 1 responsible for everything from sub-contractor compliance to technical queries and quality checks through to the delivery.

As the technical and programme lead you will instruct your Site Managers to deal with the coordination of trades sub-contractors across the scheme.

You will be working with your team who will look to you for the management of the client and technical issues from subcontractors as well as making the decisions to steer the job on track for a timely delivery with minimum defects.

Candidates must have experience of:
* Pre-construction early stage site set up
* Identifying all H&S issues
* Supporting pre-contract teams
* leading and actively contributing to the Pre-Start handover
* Reviewing options for construction and challenge solutions with your team
* Providing cost effective solutions for the construction of the works
* Identifying and managing resource issues /risks, and analyse options for profitability.
* Working with the QS and Site Management in the selection process for subcontractors, specialist and suppliers
* Attending and leading progress meetings as appropriate and ensure that relevant contractors/progress reports against the programme are issued in accordance with the contract
* Delivering detailed progress reports to the Directors or as required
* Ensuring that works are progressed safely, to the quality, programme, efficiently and cost effectively
* Monitoring all regulatory requirements regarding Planning , Quality ,and Building Regulations
* Working closely with the Surveyor to ensure all cost related items are reported back and assist in the preparation of the final account

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
Applicants must have at least 10 year's experience of high tech R&D or similar projects in the past as the number one from start to finish in the past and be a strong driven leader with real career ambitions along with up to date CSCS, SMSTS and first aid.

Ideally you will come from a degree qualified or time served background/HNC/ONC/trades with suitable construction experience for main contractors in the UK
