Construction Manager – Internals / Commercial Fit-Out
Location: Major Project, South East England

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Manager to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor delivering a flagship commercial development.
Working as part of the internals team, you'll be responsible for managing multiple fit-out packages across the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in commercial fit-out who enjoys coordinating complex packages and driving projects through to successful completion.
The Role
You'll take ownership of key internal packages, including:
* Partitioning systems
* Suspended ceilings
* Internal finishes
* Joinery
* MEP second fix
* General fit-out works
Working alongside fellow Construction Managers, Project Managers, MEP teams and commercial teams, you'll coordinate subcontractors, manage interfaces between trades and ensure each package progresses efficiently through to completion and handover.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and quality across your work areas.
* Manage subcontractors to ensure works are delivered in line with programme, drawings and specifications.
* Plan, coordinate and sequence internal fit-out activities across multiple areas.
* Manage interfaces between architectural, fit-out and MEP packages to minimise disruption and avoid delays.
* Monitor progress, identify risks and implement solutions to maintain programme.
* Carry out regular quality inspections and manage snagging through to completion.
* Attend and contribute to daily and weekly production meetings.
* Review drawings and specifications, providing buildability input where required.
* Work closely with design, commercial and MEP teams to ensure effective coordination.
* Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and daily diaries.
* Support testing, inspections and handover to achieve a high-quality finished product.
About You
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
* Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Senior Site Manager or Package Manager delivering commercial fit-out projects.
* Strong knowledge of internal construction packages, including partitions, ceilings, finishes, joinery and second fix works.
* Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors across complex live programmes.
* Good understanding of MEP coordination and trade interfaces.
* Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
* HNC (or equivalent) in Construction or a related discipline.
* Valid SMSTS, CSCS Managers Card and First Aid qualification.
* Membership of, or working towards, MCIOB or a similar professional body is advantageous.
