We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Trainer (Working at Height & Confined Spaces) to join an incredible training provider in the Midlands area.

Location: Home-based. We are actively seeking a trainer based in the Midlands or North. Must be open to travel across the Midlands area.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)

Hours: 40 hours per week (Standard week often operates as a 4-day working week with 1 day Time Off In Lieu (TOIL)

We are looking for field-based Trainers to deliver high-quality safety courses directly on client sites across the UK, with a particular focus on the quarrying and extractive industries. This role is home-based; you will be provided with a company van and full training kit to keep at your residence.

Key Responsibilities

Course Delivery: Deliver engaging, compliant, and practical training courses (Working at Height and Confined Spaces) on-site at various client locations across the UK.

Travel & Flexibility: Travel extensively to client sites (including key regional centres such as the Mansfield/Nottingham area).

Safety & Compliance: Ensure all training aligns with City & Guilds standards, national regulations, and high quality benchmarks.

Equipment Care: Maintain and safely store the provided company training kit and vehicle.

What We Are Looking For

We are happy to consider candidates who are highly strong in either Working at Height or Confined Spaces, provided you have the drive and willingness to train up in the other discipline. A full 2-month tailored training and shadowing program will be provided based on your current experience.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

City & Guilds 6160 series (specifically 03 and 05) (Highly preferred)

Proven experience working within or training for the extractive, quarrying, or heavy utilities industries.

A valid UK Driving License (essential for travel).

Desirable Add-ons (can fund these for the right candidate):

Level 3 Education and Training qualification (AET/PTLLS)

IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent H&S qualification

First Aid at Work certificate
