Education Staffbank is partnering with a leading independent higher education provider in London to recruit an experienced and passionate Lecturer in Computing Science. This is an exciting opportunity for someone dedicated to student success, who thrives in a face-to-face teaching environment, and wants to help shape the next generation of technology leaders.

About the Role
You will design, develop, and deliver engaging teaching across a range of computing modules, supporting students on campus and contributing to assessment, quality assurance, and curriculum development. Modules may include:

* Advanced Programming in C#

* Data Structures and Algorithms in Java

* Databases using SQL

* Advanced Databases and Big Data using Python

* Web Design Programming using ASP .Net Core

* Cloud Computing

* Applied Machine Learning using Python

You will also collaborate with colleagues to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes and may lead modules while coordinating with associate lecturers.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials in line with curriculum standards

* Develop and update teaching materials and maintain digital learning platforms

* Set, assess, and provide feedback on student assignments and exams

* Support students academically and pastorally, including those with learning support needs

* Engage with quality assurance processes and contribute to programme evaluations

* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes

* Lead modules and coordinate with associate lecturers where applicable

Essential Criteria

* Master’s degree in a relevant computing-related field

* Experience teaching in Higher Education with strong digital teaching capability

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Understanding of HE quality assurance and validation processes

* Student-focused, flexible, and committed to continuous improvement

* Willingness to work towards HEA Fellowship if not already held

Desirable Criteria

* PhD (or near completion) or equivalent industry experience

* Engagement in research or enterprise activities

* Teaching qualification

* Experience leading modules or academic teams
