Aligra has partnered with a leading logistics company based in Theale to recruit a skilled and dedicated Computer Technician – Team Leader. As a Computer Technician – Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of Computer Technicians to ensure all client service orders are processed through the department efficiently and quickly. You will be expected to follow documented standard processes and take accountability of each job your team undertakes.

The role is a full time position to start immediately. It will be Temp to Perm but our client may consider straight permanent for the right candidate.

Shift:

* Monday to Friday (08:45am to 17:15pm)

Salary:

* £14:09 - £14.66 per hour

* Attendance bonus

Responsibilities:

* Overseeing and managing a team of 20 computer technicians

* Process hardware and software configurations for server and client orders.

* Perform operating system installations.

* Perform DOA (Dead on Arrival) boot up.

* Collaborating with the sales contact to ensure detailed communication and direction for the order.

* Communicate effectively with your team and other management to achieve the objectives of the company.

* Ensure compliance is in line with company policies and objectives.

* Compile, review, and maintain data from config orders and other documents in line with ISO accreditation.

* Report any staff non-compliance with company rules to management.

* Maintain high standards of operation, health and safety, and quality within the Configuration department.

* Provide assistance or direction to your team

* Complete other duties as assigned by the Configuration Manager.

The ideal candidate will have:

* Previous experience in an IT configuration/computer building role or IT hardware education and qualifications.

* Previous experience in Team Leader / Supervisory role with relevant industry.

* Computer savvy as you may have to help with configuration of orders from time to time

* Excellent organizational and management skills.

* Ability to work independently and take initiative.

* Positive attitude and team player.

* Good knowledge of Microsoft and mail packages.

* Ability to work well with other departments within logistics and services.
