Salary: Competitive (£140-£215 per day, based on experience)

Hours: 08:30 – 15:30, Full-time position

Overview: Are you passionate about computer science education and dedicated to nurturing the technological talents of young learners? We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to join our dynamic team at a Secondary School in Farnborough.

About the Role: We are currently seeking a dynamic Computer Science Teacher to join our Secondary School in Farnborough on a full-time, long-term contract starting from September 2024. As part of our supportive department, you will be responsible for teaching Computer Science to students in KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and innovative lessons to foster their computational thinking and digital skills. The school welcomes both experienced Computer Science Teachers and Early Career Teachers with a passion for technology education.

About the School: Located in Farnborough, Hampshire, the Secondary School caters to students aged 11 to 16. With a student body of approximately 650 students, the School prioritise high teaching standards and cultivate a friendly and collaborative environment among our staff. The school values the professional development and well-being of our team, offering ample support and free parking on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver stimulating computer science lessons across different age groups and skill levels.
Teach various aspects of computer science, including programming, algorithms, data structures, and computational thinking.
Create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment to inspire students' interest in technology and foster their problem-solving skills.
Organize and oversee computer science projects, competitions, and extracurricular activities to showcase students' achievements.
Provide guidance and support to students preparing for computer science exams, coding challenges, and future careers in technology.

Requirements:

Qualified Computer Science teacher with relevant teaching qualifications and experience.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
Passion for computer science education and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in leading coding clubs, robotics teams, or technology-related initiatives is desirable.
