Are you a qualified Computer Science Teacher looking for your next opportunity after October half-term?

Aspire People is recruiting Computing and Computer Science specialists for secondary teaching opportunities across East Birmingham, with assignments available from Monday 2 November and throughout the remainder of the academic year.

We're particularly interested in teachers based around Small Heath, Bordesley Green, Yardley, Stechford, Washwood Heath and surrounding areas who would welcome the opportunity to work closer to home.

Whether you're an experienced teacher looking for a fresh environment or an ECT keen to develop your classroom experience, we'd like to hear from you.

WHAT OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE?

We recruit for daily supply, short-term cover, regular weekly bookings and long-term Computer Science teaching positions, alongside potential permanent opportunities.

Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may include delivering Computing across KS3, GCSE Computer Science at KS4 and A Level Computer Science at KS5 where appropriate.

Longer-term placements may involve lesson planning, marking, assessment and supporting pupils with programming, computational thinking, computer systems, cybersecurity and examination preparation.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You will need QTS or QTLS, strong Computer Science subject knowledge and the confidence to deliver engaging lessons within a secondary school environment.

Experience teaching programming languages such as Python would be particularly beneficial, alongside an understanding of the GCSE Computer Science curriculum.

We are looking for teachers with effective classroom management, clear communication skills and the ability to adapt their teaching to different abilities.

Applications are welcomed from experienced Computer Science Teachers and Early Career Teachers.

WHY WORK WITH ASPIRE PEOPLE?

We offer competitive daily rates of £170-£220, weekly pay and access to secondary schools across East Birmingham and the wider Birmingham and Solihull area.

We understand that teachers have different priorities, whether that's reducing their commute, finding more consistent work or securing a longer-term position.

Our recruitment team will discuss your availability, preferred locations and career goals to help identify suitable opportunities.

If you're a qualified Computer Science Teacher available after October half-term, apply today or contact Josh at Aspire People to discuss your next move.
