Role: Computer Science and Business Studies Teacher

Location: Southampton, Hampshire

Duration: Long-term contract starting September 2024, with potential for permanent placement

About the Role:

Supply Desk are working closely with a secondary school in Southampton that are seeking a full time Computer Science and Business Studies Teacher on a long term contract with the school looking to make the role permanent fir the right person.. This long-term position offers the chance to inspire young minds and contribute to the educational growth of our students. The School are happy to consider Early Career Teachers that have a background in Computer Science and Business Studies and overseas trained teachers that have ideally have experience with the UK curriculum.

Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and insightful lessons in Computer Science and Business Studies to students at Key Stages 3 and 4.
Develop innovative curriculum materials tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of our students.
Cultivate a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters learning and personal growth.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for our students.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Computer Science, Business Studies, or a related field.
Deep subject knowledge and a genuine passion for educating students in Computer Science and Business Studies.
Prior experience teaching Key Stages 3 and 4, preferably within a UK secondary school environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with students and colleagues alike.
Dedication to personal and professional development, with a commitment to ongoing learning.
