TEACHER OF COMPUTER SCIENCE

1 September 2026 – 31 December 2026 | Full-Time (5 Days per Week) | MPS/UPS (Dependent on Experience) | Tonbridge, Kent

About the Role and Key Responsibilities

TailorEDucation is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Computer Science to join a secondary school in Tonbridge from September 2026 until December 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, inspiring students to develop their computational thinking, programming skills, and understanding of digital technologies.

Key responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering engaging Computer Science lessons across KS3–KS5

Teaching GCSE and A-Level Computer Science

Preparing schemes of work and lesson resources in line with the curriculum

Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress

Marking classwork, homework and assessments in accordance with school policies

Providing constructive feedback to support student achievement

Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management

Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential

Contributing to departmental planning and school initiatives where required

The Ideal Candidate Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

Experience teaching Computer Science within UK secondary schools

The ability to teach Computer Science up to Key Stage 5 (A-Level)

Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Computer Science education

Experience of planning, assessment and marking

Excellent classroom management skills

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
