Compound Driver
Location: Sheerness
Salary: £11.44 per hour + Overtime Rates
Shifts: Monday to Friday, Day Shifts
Igloo is continuously seeking Compound Operatives to join our team in Sheerness, Kent. As a vital part of our workforce, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the operations of one of the UK's leading automotive companies, with a global presence.
Role Overview:
* As a compound driver, your primary responsibility will involve handling vehicle movements within expansive compounds.
* Tasks include manoeuvring vehicles in and out of workshops and bay parking within the compound. You'll encounter a variety of vehicles, ranging from compact family cars to high-performance and high value.
* Proficiency in driving different transmissions—manuals, automatics, semi-automatics, and electric vehicles—is essential.
* Prior to vehicle movement, conducting inspections to identify and report any damages is required. Comfortable working in all weather conditions, you'll be outfitted in car-friendly workwear and safety boots for outdoor tasks.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Comfortable driving a diverse range of vehicle makes, models, and sizes.
* Experience with both manual and automatic gearboxes is necessary.
* Hold a valid UK driving license for a minimum of two years, with no more than six points for minor offenses.
* Previous professional driving experience is advantageous
