Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30 – 16:00, Friday 07:30 – 12:30pm

The Composite Trimmer position, reporting directly to the Composites Team Leader, is instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of the department. The role involves meticulously preparing and trimming composite components, adhering to timelines, and upholding stringent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities of a Composite Trimmer
* Handcrafts and trims composite components using air cutting tools, ensuring precise cuts and dimensions.
* Prepares and bonds components using appropriate adhesives and fixtures, following established protocols.
* Executes drilling, tapping, and fitting inserts accurately as per project requirements.
* Performs finishing tasks on components prior to inspection, maintaining high-quality standards.
* Follows detailed work instructions and procedures provided by the team leader diligently.
Key Skills of a Composite Trimmer
* Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work within narrow tolerances.
* Proficient in utilizing hand and air tools for composite trimming tasks.
* Strong aptitude for interpreting technical drawings and adhering to work instructions.
* Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
* Effective listener with a track record of executing instructions accurately.
* Consistently achieves set targets within allocated timeframes.
* Previous experience in trimming composite components, including carbon and/or GRP materials, is preferred.
